![Polymer clay faux silver: the hack! I REALLY want to start working with metal clay. But realistically, I don’t have the time (or the budget) right now. [I promise, its gonna happen at one point!] Meanwhile…. I obviously haven’t given up on the metal clay look. Instead, I have done my own “faux metal clay” version. It’s not quite like silver nor PMC, but it’s still so beautiful!!! 👉 I have cut a long strip of white clay 👉 I have used Phoenix & Spruce micro pens stamps to create a beautiful embossed pattern (you can find this set of stamps on our website!) 👉 I have used a ring mould that I have been working on. I’m hoping to have this ready for you to purchase soon. I’m the meantime, head to our feed and check yesterday reel as I have shared a tutorial to make your own ring mould. 👉 I have baked the ring. My oven is expressly accurate and I have run several tests. My clay bakes to perfection, I can bend the thinnest layer without breaking it. This means that my rings are super strong. If you want to sell your polymer clay rings, you gotta make sure they are also sturdy and baked properly, or they will snap with usage. 👉 I have painted the ring with a liquid silver pen. There are several on the market.
