if ur belly folds down like mine and urs then piercing above the belly button is better bc irl. pierce in the belly button with a folding belly then u wont be able to see the skin only the two diamonds

its better for anatomy/ if your not all skin and bone a piercer will do this as its more likely to stay, I didn't have enough fat to do this so have a navel piercing, from 11-19 and its starting to reject

They did that to me and I got infected. check it out. Try it again in a few years. pierced it correctly this time and it's working out. Just fine

happened to me too lol, it healed almost vertically like a floating navel but so low that I just took it out and am planning to get it redone as a proper floating navel

you just don’t have the right anatomy for the regular kind, but the piercer did a great job making sure it sits just right. I never would have been able to tell.

In my opinion the piercer did a great job it looks good and seems like it’s healed nicely. If it was lower it wouldn’t sit right. Anatomy matters so much with piercings

i wish i saw these comments earlier. I did this and everyone told me it wasnt correct so I repierced it more lower - the bar was SOO short, it got infected now i cant repierce for months 😭😭
