Whoever told you its spelt as 'Yansh' is wrong. The origin lies in Nigerian pidgin english and its spelt Nyash. But everyone spells it anyhow.

actually u are very correct. diff tribes in Ngn spelt it diff but same meanin. some use yansh. some other tribes use nyash. other few use nyansh which reflect in their accent.
