I've been using Vista for a few years and never understood why people hated it so much. It worked fine, don't remember any big problem

I've used Vista on a laptop with Core2Duo and 4GB of ram for years (up until like 2018-19) and it worked perfectly, didn't crash once..

The fact that Windows 7 is basically Windows Vista Just changed the problems on why it would crash, not work, or laggy I was it's because of the OEM

I had a top of the line Dell in 2006. Upgraded to Vista and absolutely fried the machine.

2025 Update: I saw a few comments about the Control Panel and how nobody had the same issue. This is because I was running RTM and didn't know at the time.

I love Windows Vista, though it is hated by many people. Windows Vista is so cool, including the Aurora wallpaper and many cool features.

A big part of the flop was pushing it on really weak machines, so it started with bad rep. And Microsoft always had huge success-flop cycles
