My cousin is a neuro nurse too. She choose to do nuero icu because they can’t assault her when they’re intubated or in a coma.

A lot of my ED docs are the first ones in the room with me before security gets there. We are a team, I got their back and they have mine as it should

Even pain meds. Easy for doc to say no, when the patient is groaning in pain and yelling at you for 12 hours. Nurses are the ones dealing with it 🙄

Surgery resident here, I am appalled by docs who refuse to ensure the safety of our RN colleagues by pt sedation. That ish should never be tolerated!!

Rarely is there a “conversation”. In my experience it’s just an MD yelling about why “X, Y, Z” wasn’t done with no regard for the nurse’s/staff safety
