𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: It’s been such a happy, stressful, emotional, exhsuating week here at Caylee’s Coons. We are on day 6 with around the clock bottle/ tube feedings every 2-3 hours. Momma is amazing at her job but a gang this large is just too much for one lady to handle on her own. Whenever I wrap up a feeding shift and place full-bellied babies back with Mama, the relief and appreciation in her sweet eyes reminds me to keep pushing. Keep those alarms set on high and force myself out of the bed or off the floor to do it all over again. I love sharing all the happiness with you, but the ugly truth is, raising neonates is not all sunshine and rainbows. It’s been a battle keeping their weight up. Unfortunately, one baby gained his angel wings 🪽 over the weekend which was incredibly heartbreaking. I truly feel that Mama knows I did everything in my power to keep him here. I fought tooth and nail. He deserved every ounce of blood, sweat, fight and tears I had within me but sometimes, it just isn’t enough. If it was, I would save them all 💔 The scars on my heart will remain forever and the only peace I have is the faith and hope that when my final day on Earth comes, my first day of eternal salvation will be met with each and every kitten I’ve helped along the way running into my open arms, in perfect health and happiness 🌈 We are not completely out of the woods yet and truly appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers being sent our way. I look forward to sharing introductions once it feels we are safe to do so.
