@tomiwawa.wa: Fold your paper like so. Take your measurements from the pointed angle. Make sure your tape measure is secure on the angle. Mark the measurements with a pen and trace it round. Watch closely and repeat the steps I take. You don’t need so much paper for the crown part of the hat. I wasted mine, don’t waste yours. Add half inch of allowance and trace it. Cut of the paper and make sure you label it. This part is the crown. The middle part of the hat is rectangular in shape, you can use any length of your choice. I used 3.5 inches for mine, then I marked it at the centre front of the paper. After determining the length you want, take your width measurement from that point then square across and squared down to fork a rectangle. the top part and sides of the rectangle but I later remembered. Please add your allowance from scratch. Add half inch of allowance around the rectangle leaving out the centre front. This part should be cut on a fold while on fabric. The final part of the hat is the flare part. The measurement to be used is the head circumference divided by 3.14 as given in the beginning of the tutorial. Start taking your measurements from the pointed angle all the way round to the end of the paper like I’m doing. Trace it out. Measure down the length of the flare from the traced out part and add half an inch of allowance. #howto #howtomakeabuckethat #buckethatpattern #buckethattutorial #buckethats
