@sooziethefoodie: I just learned about cupuaçu this week and I had to try it for myself! It grows natively in the Brazilian rainforest, and if you know me, I am obsessed with everything in the rainforest 😍 Cupuaçu is a close relative to the cacao fruit. It has a fuzzy outer shell and a soft pulp that’s texture reminded me a lot of soursop. The flavor was sweet almost melon like, a little bit sour, and it had subtle hints of an acidic flavor similar to raw cacao which truly blows my mind! I made an infused water by soaking the pulps (I froze the pulp after) then I roasted the seeds because I was extremely curious about it. Asides from the seeds looking like a brain- they have a really bitter and nutty flavor almost like a walnut 😍 I was lucky enough to score cupuaçu in three different sizes and it’s super wild how different each fruit was from one another as you can see in the video. If you hear heavy breathing in the background it’s my pug Eggroll 🤣 I had way too much fun with this 🥹🥹🥹 #TikTokTaughtMe #fruittok #cupuaçu
