Why is it so boring though? Why wouldn’t an all powerful being put us in a situation with aliens? Stir up the pot a little, come on.

¹but what if the simulations before us didnt make one other simulation each but like 3 at once just to see who gets to creating a new simulation the

The simulation theory assumes that theres no limit to computing power. It's far more likely that weve already come close to reaching those limits.

So are we all NPCs or are we all “Sims”, cuz if I’m a Sims character, whomever is playing me just stopped playing a long time ago,but left the game on

Your 50/50 flip is dependent on your supposed knowledge of the capabilities to simulate ourselves. If we can but don’t know it, we aren’t 50/50.

Note :
But every single universe in the chain will experience not yet having the power to simulate themselves so the end argument doesn’t even hold up

they didn't take into account that 1 universe can simulate more than 1 lol

I dont know we can use the "there are more interesting things to simulate" argument because who knows we aren't a simulation for an 8th grade project

If simulations are creating simulations within simulations wouldn’t all the processing power of all those simulations fall on the original computer?

My problem with this argument is that once you have the capability to create such a simulation, you have the capability to create multiple.

I don’t understand why so many people are open to simulation theory, but closed off to the idea that the one running the sim could be God
