September 13, 2016. The worst day of my life. I still remember showing up to my dads house and the paramedic coming down the driveway and telling me it was his house that burnt down and there was two fatalities. A 6 year old. The 6 yr old was Nataleigh my sister the kid who had the best personality and lit up a room as she entered it. The 2nd fatality he said appeared to be a 7 month old baby. Jocelyn my daughter she had just turned 9 months the day before. That baby had my entire heart and I still remember the gut wrenching screams I let out and crying so hard I couldn’t stop throwing up. Than next thing I remember is walking in my Dads hospital room where they was stitching his hand up because he broke the window and pulled my other siblings out of the house. I had never seen my Dad cry until that day he was pulling the blankets over his head crying so hard and saying over and over how sorry he was he couldn’t save them. The memories from that day stay fresh in my mind. I wouldn’t wish the pain my family went through on my worst enemy. Two beautiful souls took way to soon. The only thing that gives me peace is knowing they are with the Lord now. I love and miss y’all so much babygirls💕
