@foodporn: We’re eating Nagashi Somen at Hirubun in Kyoto, Japan! 🍜 Somen is a thin Japanese noodle made from wheat flour. Nagashi means “to flow” and Nagashi Somen is an eating style where you “catch” your noodles with chopsticks as they make their way down a bamboo shoot in a stream of cool flowing water. There are several different Nagashi Somen restaurants in Japan, but Hirubun is our favourite as it has this spectacular view of the Kibune River. They give you a dipping sauce called Mentsuyu which you dip the noodles into before eating. It costs 1500 Japanese Yen per person (around $11 USD), and they tell you when your eating time is up by sending out pink noodles so don’t spend too long taking photos and videos! Would you try this? 🤷🏽♂️ #noodles #hirubun #fyp #foryou #japanese #japan #noodles
