Dr. G is a science-backed Korean skincare brand founded by dermatologist Dr. Ahn Geon-Young 🧪🧑‍🔬 and their red blemish cream is a bestseller at Olive Young- and I see why. Right off the bat I am extremely impressed with the packaging, which features braille on both the outer box and the jar of the cream. I’ve never seen this on mainstream western products and it is so refreshing to see care and thought put into accessibility. Although these are marketed for blemishes, their actives are suitable for all skin types and has been working amazing for my dry sensitive skin. The red blemish cream is a very interesting gel-like texture that spreads evenly like a thin gel but leaves a thick and extremely moisturizing layer like a heavy cream. The serum is also extremely nice and I have been using it as a prep step to add a boost of hydration before makeup. Both products do a great job of calming down my sensitive skin after cleansers and a long day out and about. I have to be extremely picky with my skincare because my skin is so sensitive- I really my can’t use a lot of actives and can’t use retinol of any kind without a reaction and breakouts. I am happy to report that I have been able to use both products twice a day for the past month without any sign of irritation or breakouts- just the opposite!
