Due to unforeseen circumstances, mine and my husband’s roles have been reversed. I am now the working parent, and he is the stay at home parent for the time being. I am so thankful that I have a job that allows for the flexibility of letting me work as many or as little hours as I need, and that I am in a field where I can easily provide for my family if needed. This phase of our life has been a huge testament to how well my husband & I work together. The transition was as smooth as it could go, and my husband has been amazing at adapting to his new role. We both took on our new responsibilities without question or complaint. No hesitation. Just doing what needed to be done. I don’t have to stress about if the kids have gotten fed, changed, had outside time, or been bathed while I’m at work. He handles it all with such grace that I’m a little jealous of tbh. He makes being a stay at home parent look easy (even though I know from experience that it’s not). I am so damn proud of him. When you choose your spouse, choose one that you can rely on in the hard times. Because believe me, there will be hard times at some point. #husband #spouse #workingparent #mom #workingmom
