I know this is late and may not be wanted, but I think if I remember correctly, coyotes will sometimes act hurt or injured to lower other animals into a ambush so they can eat them

I know this was in 2023 so I’m a little late but for anyone wondering- call the wildlife department! They always pick up and if you tell them where you saw an injured animal they’ll take care of it and rehabilitate it!
