✨ I can’t sleep at night… because this vision stays heavy on my heart. In 2020, God told me I would have a children’s home within the next 10 years. I didn’t know how, I didn’t know why — but I’ve learned that God’s timing is different. And when He places something on your heart, you don’t need all the answers… you just need to follow through. That same year, I stopped being ashamed of my story. I stopped hiding the fact that I was a foster kid and started embracing the truth: God chose that journey for me. I was part of the 75% of foster youth separated from their siblings, and that kind of pain hits different. It leaves you wondering, searching, and sometimes even questioning your worth. But now I see — God was shaping me. 💛 Shaping my heart. 🎓 Shaping my education. 🙏🏽 Shaping my capacity to feel, love, and serve. Sometimes I hate how deeply I feel. But I’m learning that this heart — this burden — is my assignment. God gave me vision, He gave me discernment, and He gave me the strength to carry this out. Here’s a snippet of the project I created back in 2020: A housing space for kids in the foster care system — not a group home, but a real single-family home with real parents, structure, love, and stability. I didn’t want it to feel institutionalized. I wanted it to feel like family. And not just for the kids — but also for the mothers or parents who lost their children to foster care. A space where, if it’s in God’s will, they can be restored and fight to regain custody. I’ll be sharing more soon. Follow the journey. Pray over it with me.
