For a long time, I didn’t believe in mental health - even though I was severely struggling with it and didn’t want help. Just last year, I started getting help. Now, I am so happy I did. The first picture is me now. Feeling emotions again! I never thought I would be able to do that. I’m having days of joy instead of just happy moments. If I can grow and get through this, you can to! Depression is real. 280 million people suffer from depression. You never know when a person is struggling. Please, always be kind. I promise, things can get better. Seek help! These are things that helped me :) Sleep, moving my body, get outside, listen to music, therapy, have small goals that are achievable, create a dopamine menu, find good in everyday, lastly but most importantly grow your relationship with Christ! There are days it tries to come back, but I know how to face it:) Don’t let it take over your life. If your struggling, please know it is okay to reach out. You are not alone! This post is pretty vulnerable for me. I don’t talk about this often, but I felt like I needed to today. Know you are loved by me and by Jesus! You got this! #MentalHealth #mentalhealthmatters
