@adip_food: Roasted Kohlrabi - Another Day in Paradise. Ingredients - for 1 portion 1 Kohlrabi - Skin removed and trimmed 2 tbsps butter 1/2 jalapeno - thinly sliced 2 tbsp neutral oil 1/2 lime juiced 1 tsp seasoned sushi rice vinegar (vinegar seasoned with salt and sugar) Salt & pepper A simple but high-impact recipe. With its condensed cabbagey taste, roasted kohlrabi can hang out with a lot of different flavours. This simple butter sauce is punchy enough without taking anything away from the kohlrabi. Generously salt the kohlrabi before steaming for 20 minutes. I cut mine into two pucks to speed up the cooking process. Sear the pucks on both sides before placing them in a 185c/350f oven for 30 minutes (or until tender and browned all over). You can also cook these from start to finish in the oven. I finished mine in an outdoor oven to get some extra smoky/charred flavour. For the sauce, add the jalapenos and butter to the pan - slowly melt. Once melted, mix in the lime juice, and vinegar. Season to taste. Finish with the butter sauce, black pepper and steeped jalapenos (or leave them out if you just want the flavour and minimal spice). Very slick pizza oven gifted by @Ooni HQ #kohlrabi
