When you do things ON purpose with the child starting from the tub, as they become around 15 months old, their level of confidence Will just slightly exceed their ability. And this is where the learning zone is. When you are completely random with your water work, both in the tub, AND the pool. With no plan, or points of reference about anything, from 15 months old, until possibly 6 years old, the child has fluctuating confidence, and comfort. They are in a dangerous zone of curiosity, and not really knowing where they stand with water. THROW IN A puddle jumper, and now truly their survivability in this zone is on the floor. Thats why you learn what your doing, and see how MONUMENTAL this little couple steps are to becoming the bedrock of safe swimming.. Not Hyperbole. Ive been around this thing long enough, and taken on swimmers between 20 days and 90 years old. Your child becoming non reactive, and able to execute these couple things in the tub, will make them 90% completed on their survival swim journey.. NOT hitting these milestones, and you are working from a major negative. Consistency, exposure, and being positive, all set your child up for success!👇 @prepare2swim Comment Prepare2Swim for details!
