@lasernonna: IKEA over bed LACK table hack Materials needed for KING bed. You can scale down for smaller bed sizes. 4 LACK side tables 4 RILL wheels (or any furniture wheels) 1x4’s cut to size 1x6 cut to size to create lip on rear of table so items don’t fall off Paint or stain of choice Lay the LACK tables touching sides flush on a flat surface Measure 1x4’s to fit length and width of table (three sides) Screw 1x4’s directly into sides Start with the long sides of the table. One at a time, screw the 1x4 into the table. When you have one secured, add the next one making sure it fits tight next to the first one. Screw that table together and continue until all four tables are flush and secured to the 1x4. You’ll have a lip on the bottom side, but the right side of the table should be all flush (tables and wood) This step insures that the tables will remain secure and not sag Next cut 1x6 to size and secure on rear of table. This step creates a lip on the table so items don’t fall. This has to happen from the right side so the lip is extended from the top. Now add 1x4’s where each seam is (underneath). This will also help secure the table. Screw the LACK legs together as shown in the photo. This step will fabricate the table legs. Two legs screwed together will create one full leg. You can use decorative legs if you want, but we used what we had! Be sure to measure as each mattress size is different and you want to have room for your human legs to slide under the table while in use lol….. Create an H with the legs by adding a stabilizing piece of wood on each side so the legs don’t spread when you’re rolling the table. We used the LACK legs for this too. Add wheels to legs.
