@rawantravelss: What to do in Florence🇮🇹: 1. Visit Bobbli Gardens- These gardens are one of the greatest examples of an Italian garden in the 16th/ 17th century, with ornate fountains and renaissance statues. 2. Piazzale Michelangelo- this is a great viewpoint of the city where the replica of the ‘Statue of David’ is. If you decide to go at 🌅sunrise you’ll beat the crowds. We went both at sunset and sunrise and we loved both. 3. Ponte Vecchio- on this medieval bridge you can get picturesque views of the river and canals 4) The Accademia Gallery- Home to Michelangelo’s ‘Famous Statue of David’ It was originally displayed in the Piazza della Signoria but had to be moved indoors in 1873 to protect it from weather damage. 5. Piazza del Duomo- a square with lots of historic and religious landmarks/ museums. This a must visit when in Florence. There are so many cute cafes/ coffee shops in this square as well. Pro tip: if you want to visit the Duomo, you should buy tickets weeks in advance as it does get booked and unfortunately we were not able to get tickets on our trip. 6. Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte- This is a historic church on a hilltop and has some of the most beautiful views of the city. 🌆 7. Giotto’s Bell Tower- The experience of visiting the Bell Tower was amazing. You get a 360- degree view of the city up here. Pro-tip: Buy your tickets in advance and wear comfortable shoes. It is a narrow staircase with traffic going both ways. 8. Piazza deli Santa Croce- One of the main piazza/ squares located in central Florence. 9. St. Trinity Bridge- A bridge in Florence and is considered the oldest elliptic arch bridge in the world. 10. Take a day trip to Tuscany and visit the beautiful country side. You can also visit some of the Tuscan Villas when there. 11. When you’re in Florence, you must visit the infamous Al’antico Vinaio. They have 2 shops right next to each other and both lines wrap around the building from how yummy it is. It is a panini sandwich with your choice of meat/veggies(they have vegan options) on homemade focaccia.
