As an American.. I do not switch my hands lol.. knife is in left hand and fork is in right dominant hand.. no switching needed.

I’m European, but I do swith the knife and fork constantly between my left and right hands. I don’t put down the knife. I use the knife to shove my food on to my fork 😅
