Dental assistant here. Tell the patient to only think about breathing through their nose while wiggling their fingers and toes! Works every time!!

I do the exact same thing at the dentist. Top tip breath through your nose and wiggle your toes! 😁👍. Genuinely helps get through xrays. 🥰
