Last one I caught had fluorescent blue mouth and fins. Apparently they change colors due to diet.

Did you know that a company in Louisiana harvest caviar from wild caught bowfin and it’s pretty decent! I believe they release the bowfin afterwards

They can be colorful and some have a dot like a red drum, un less I have them mistaken with a different fish.
