my kids did that in first grade (not that bad) so we ended the conference early and they had to clean it all up. they haven't done that since lol.

Why would I tell them no if you intentionally set things out for them to play with while we're talking? I'd make him clean it up.

The way me and my fiance do it is ill take a kid in while he is with the other one and then we swap the kids. I'd rather them have my full attention

There’s no excuse for bad behavior but, it might help to cover your books and Lego shelves with plastic table cloths to discourage ransacking.

in my elementary school it was mandatory for kids to come to conferences and sit with their parents
