My 14 year old athlete son is dealing with this in both legs. Likely from steroid use as he was put on prednisone when diagnosed w/ UC. :( It sucks

As soon as you said steroids, I knew!I have steroid induced multifocal AVN. My R hip collapsed, was replaced& THEN atypically dislocated❤️🩹

I had this happen to a toe joint when I was 17. I hope he feels better after surgery. It’s amazing afterwards when the pain is gone.

Avascular Necrosis. My dh was same age, great health & no steroids. Both hips. We still didn't know why.
