if the flow of the groundwater is even slightly downwards you can drill vertical drains to lower the water table

Hope you can find a good solution. Knowing that a power need and pump running is needed adds so much anxiety. Even with battery backup.

you will want 3 pumps, 1 normal, 1 back up and a battery operated one 4 when the power goes out. trust me.

also, you should test that water, it could be a whole cocktail of nasties. Used to do mine reclamation with EPA.

It’s probably just got lots of minerals and fine particles in it. That can be filtered.
