Its signature design features three monumental arches—a structural and visual centerpiece that transforms engineering strength into poetic elegance. ◉ Design Concept “Transforming Gravity into Lightness” The architect aimed to turn the gravitational weight of structure into a sense of lightness—making the building appear as if it floats above the ground. Each of the three arches acts as a “gateway of art,” connecting people to a realm of contemporary culture and imagination. ◉ Masterplan The building aligns parallel to the Hengqin River, creating a horizontal form that blends naturally into its surroundings. Its large arches open toward the river, welcoming daylight and views, while providing semi-outdoor public spaces that encourage movement and interaction. ◉ Form & Tone The overall form flows like waves in motion, with smooth, continuous curves. The façade is clad in a silver-gray diamond-patterned skin, reflecting the ever-changing sky and light throughout the day.
