100% this as a childhood trauma therapist and former neuroscientist. Children’s memory works different than ours but they absolutely encode trauma….

Yep. Just look at the children adopted from EU orphanages. They share many similar characteristics and challenges.

Children are aware of -everything-. Don’t kid yourself into thinking that they ‘won’t remember’. That assumption could ruin their lives. Said plainly.

We moved to Mexico when I was 3, my grandmother says I was fluent in Spanish (for my age) I just watched Mexico TV & Cartoon..
