Mrs. Suspicious :
Sadly it won't be stopped. The greed is far too big in those people, who make the rules and won't have to deal with any of the consequences.

I don’t know, we don’t care about billions of poor folks, suffering now and easily helped, so maybe no one should care about the richer folks.😁

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce spoke Tuesday about the Trump administration's decision to pull the U.S. out of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce spoke Tuesday about the Trump administration's decision to pull the U.S. out of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). "Continued involvement in UNESCO is not in the national interest of the United States," she said. Ms. Bruce called UNESCO's Sustainable Development Goals, which include the elimination of world hunger and quality education for all, a "globalist ideological agenda" that does not align with the Trump administration's international interests. "UNESCO works to advance divisive social and cultural causes and contains an outsized focus on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, a globalist ideological agenda for international development at odds with our 'America First' foreign policy," she said. She also criticized UNESCO's decision to admit Palestine as a member in 2011, calling it "anti-Israel." "UNESCO's decision to admit the quote 'State of Palestine' unquote as a member-state is highly problematic, contrary to U.S. policy and contributed to the proliferation of anti-Israel rhetoric within the organization," she said. Audrey Azoulay, director general of UNESCO, said the move was deeply regrettable but anticipated, allowing her team to financially prepare for the loss of U.S. support. "Thanks to the efforts made by the Organization since 2018, the decreasing trend in the financial contribution of the US has been offset, so that it now represents 8% of the Organization's total budget compared to 40% for some United Nations entities," she said Tuesday. In 2011, the Obama administration stopped funding UNESCO for their admission of Palestine to the organization. In 2017, the first Trump administration pulled out entirely, returning in 2023 under the Biden administration. The move tracks the current administration's exits from numerous international entities, including the World Health Organization and the U.N. Human Rights Council.
