@bailey.schildbach: Since I left ballet, there’s been this question in my mind. Would I have started if I knew how it was going to end? I almost didn’t go to that first ballet class years ago. Should I have stayed home instead? At first, the answer was yes. A regretful, miserable yes. I shouldn’t have done it. I should have pursued a normal life and given up the dream before it began. But after some thought, the answer is no. Because even temporary things can teach us incredible lessons. The ecstasy, pain, sorrow, happiness, darkness, hope, love, and strength that ballet brought out of me is incomparable to anything else. I fell in love with what it brought out of me.
