@theyoungnonno: Go back in time for Italian-Canadian heritage month. 🇮🇹🇨🇦 This is where my mother’s family grew (and grew up) after immigrating from Molise to Windsor, Ontario. Most of the footage shows Nonno long before I was even born, but as a child exploring every inch of soil I remember my Nonna being the one out in the giardino working and caring for everything. Garlic, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, beans, lettuces, eggplant and more hot pepper plants than I’ve ever seen. And the trees! Plums, pears and peaches grown from pits of fruit grown in Italy. Plus the grapes climbing right outside the back door and access the top of the patio. 🍇 If only I could visit this garden as an adult and appreciate the details even more.
