@mom.ma.gi: At around age 4, my daughter occasionally would complain about being bored and it bothered me since it triggered my upset feelings because I feel like I am not making her happy.  But when our children tell us they are bored, it doesn’t necessarily mean we are doing a poor job as parents. When our children are bored, it’s actually not a real problem since no rule is actually broken.  We can play a supportive role to set up and prepare activities, and our children’s responsibility is to find a solution to solve boredom.  Also, doing absolutely nothing, daydreaming, or allowing their minds to wander can be beneficial. If parents prepare all things to fill up their children's spare time then they never discover new interests or going to learn to do things for themselves. Children develop better when you let them be bored.
