I don’t see a release for the Hydro, so therefore it is not a Hydro transmission

I have the same mower but i didn't switch the rear pulley. I flipped the front pulley so that the bigger deck pulley turned into the drive pulley

the belt underneath remove, take off front pulley, take off rear pulley, put the front on the rear and the rear on the front easy 20-30mph.
