@katarina.etiquette: British Afternoon Tea (or just Afternoon Tea) is a pleasant tradition originating from England in the 19th century 🫖 The main goal was to provide some refreshments as well as make space for a social gathering between lunch and dinner. The Afternoon Tea experience consists of a group of finger food accompanied by a pot of tea (sometimes a glass of champagne as well). The food is usually served on a 3-tiered tray with savory sandwiches (ham+cheese, tuna or vegetarian) on the bottom, scones in the middle and a variety of pastries, biscuits or petit-fours on the top. The food is always eaten from the bottom to the top, as savory taste should be followed by the sweet taste (not vice versa).
