Never seen the brass cross myself. We usually use press females with a short piece to a tank tee. I just use what I’m given 🤷♂️

I asked my RMP about using a Tee and 90 for the expansion tank and he says over time it’ll snap at the threads. What you think?

By code in your area do they require the expansion strapped to the wall with a mounting bracket?
