They tried to do a vcug on me as a toddler. I was hulk strong and they were unsuccessful. One of my first memories, hiding in the bathroom, crying.

Yes, this procedure helped diagnose my kidney reflux. This procedure also sucked and lead to me at age 31 freaking out and essentially shutting down

Yes, it’s a needed procedure for children that get reoccurring UTI’s to see how the bladder/kidney are functioning. Parents should always be present.

My daughter had to have a VCUG when she was 10mo old. The procedure wasn't violent at all and was able to make a diagnosis that likely saved her life
