@elliegoldenlife: How I Taught my Dog Polite Greetings ⭐️ SAVE THIS POST for future reference Step 1: have your dog sit at your side with a loose leash, mark/reward for attention Step 2: have someone approach calmly, mark/reward for attention Step 3: have the person walking up be more interesting, and increase the frequency of treats for attention Step 4: let the person pet your dog if still sitting, mark/reward for attention Step 5: give your dog permission to greet, mark/reward for attention, you can recall them back if needed Remember, you're your dog's advocate.
