I thought the company match worked like this: say I put $500/wk in my 401k, company matches 4% of that so they contribute $20. is this wrong?

If I elect to put a small percentage towards my Roth will they match that too? They currently match 8% so I was think of doing 5% to 401k and 3% Roth

Max your 401k, max a Roth IRA. Invest in mutual funds (I like VTI). 🙌🏻

I don't agree with the loan. If you use 50k for a car and you're averaging 10% of growth a year using the money to save 5% you're costing yourself 5%
