@joexfitness: Don't let one bad workout discourage you. Whether it's because you've been off your grind for a while, sick, lacking sleep, or injured, your first workout back will not be easy. So don't let the normal things like feeling weaker and having less energy discourage you. It's a part of the process! After having to take 2 weeks off because of a bee sting, today was my first workout back. I know sounds stupid, but somehow that sting swelled up my entire arm, no joke. But I’m fully recovered now so I put on some gym clothes and me and my friend Kev went to Planet Fitness. But before we went, we had to walk his uncle’s dogs. The small one really wanted to pick a fight with the bigger one, but eventually realized he shouldn’t. The workout was hamstring biased, so we started with some calf presses, then hit seated hamstring curls. By this point I was done. I felt so out of condition it was crazy. I was weaker, sorer, and just overall out of it. But we still had a few more exercises to go so we went onto RDLs, which I helped Kev improve his form on since he could never get these and finished with some heavy leg presses. Sike we also did abs at the end I almost forgot. Definitely, this was the hardest gym sesh I’ve had in a while, but I knew it would be temporary.
