This postpartum season looks different for me… in the best way. Compared to my past recoveries, I’ve truly slowed down this time around. I’ve stayed home more, leaned into help, and taken the time to rest and reset. And while I have left the house a couple of times (which is rare for me - you guys know I’m usually a “leave the house daily” kind of girl 😅), I’ve been spending a lot of time outdoors at home, soaking in the sunshine and peace. I share my journey as a reminder that there is no one way to do postpartum. Some cultures encourage staying home for weeks. Others may need to get out of the house for their mental health. Some mamas feel great, others are in survival mode. Babys behavior also plays a huge role (are the easy? Fuzzy) How was your delivery? Easy hard? Also resources… can you hire help? Can you afford to slow down? Do you have other kids? As much as I would love to do NOTHING, I also have 3 other kids 🤍 Let’s be kind. Because sometimes comments like “she’s too active” or “she’s not doing enough” to a new mama can be dismissive or come across as backhanded when we don’t know the full story. Whether you’re in a slow season or you need to move to feel like yourself again, I hope this space always feels safe for you. 🤍 You’re doing amazing and did I say I love you? #newborn #postpartum #postpartummentalhealth #postpartumjourney #newmom #momof4 #slowliving #breastfeeding #intentionalliving
