@kikibabyrockwell: Visualiser for ‘Rise Up O Flame’ 0ut now! This sacred song/chant is said to date back to the 1600s and is most likely written by Christoph Praetorius. This song has a special place in my heart as we would sing it every winter solstice after our lantern walk around the blazing bonfire at Waldorf Steiner School. As a child I truly believed this song encouraged a small flame to grow into a huge fire and I would sing it softly, even when making a fire in the fireplace at home. I have done a lot of research into this song and honestly can't find that much about it. If you sang this song or at least have heard it before, I would love to hear about it in the comments! Just like 'Hejo, spann den Wagen an', 'Rise Up O Flame' is a "round/kanon".  This means that one person starts singing it and then another person joins in a few seconds later, and then another may join in a few seconds after that, all voices perfectly harmonising with each other.
