@williamsengg: 5 important lessons I learned since I started giving haircuts at an old folks home every month for almost a year ⬇️ 1. Everyone has a story to tell 📖 With every visit, I get to hear different stories of their lives and just by listening, I’m learning so much and I’m thankful that they are willing to share their personal experiences with me 2. Time flies by faster as we get older ⏱️ I’m not saying this because I’m getting older, I’m saying this because I could see that aging seems to happen much faster on them. It could be hair-loss, more surgical scars, increase in white hair and wrinkles, which leads me to the next one… 3. Do not take your health for granted 🫀 Since we’re still young, we tend to enjoy to the fullest and take our health for granted. It is important to pay attention to our health as it will have major impact on our lives in the near future 4. Appreciate all the little things in life 🙌 This is the easiest way to be happy and is what I noticed most of the elders do. They are constantly thankful for the little things and are constantly helping each other our 🙌 5. We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone ❤️ Although I may not think much of what I do, this action of mine may be one of the things they look forward to every month. Don’t forget, you’re more than enough to help and spending quality time with them is already way more than enough 🫶🏻 .
