My first sleepover with Toast was a success! We had a rough start. On the ride home she pooped, so she soiled her bandages right away. By the time we got home we had to immediately remove her wraps and replace them. That’s something I was hoping we wouldn’t have to do for a while. It was pretty traumatic for us both, I was so afraid of hurting her. My dad was a great help. Her current at home routine is wound care twice a day that consists of warm water with a gentle soap and then two different ointments, one for her wounds and one for her eyes. She gets antibiotics and pain meds every 12 hours as well. She has special medicated wraps on her legs which are covered in bandages. The bandages can be changed whenever she soils them. She is so, so, so sweet. She’s cuddly, purrs, gives kisses, and makes bleppy faces all the time. She waves at me with her front bonker and already bonked me in the face with one a couple times too. We are so thankful to everyone who sent her something from the Amazon wishlist! It made setting her up so easy.
