Trovants are believed to be gritstones and conglomerates embedded within rock layers of limestone, sandstone or shale. These stones grow by absorbing the minerals in the rain that mix with the chemicals already present in the rock causing a pressure reaction that makes the rocks grow in girth. The rate by which this stones grow is around 4-5cm in 1000-1200 years. 🇷🇴 Pietrele vii de la Costești Aceste pietre misterioase din România se numesc „trovanți”. Se presupune că trovanții sunt gresii și conglomerate încorporate în straturi nisipoase. Aceste pietre cresc prin absorbția mineralelor din ploaie care se amestecă cu substanțele chimice deja prezente în rocă, provocând o reacție de presiune ce face ca rocile să crească în circumferință.
