Winky’s CAT scan is in the morning, and she’ll be dropped off at 8 AM. If you could keep her in your thoughts, prayers, or send some good vibes her way, we’d be so grateful. This isn’t even the scary dental yet—it’s just the CAT scan—but I’m still a nervous wreck. I know she’s going to do fine, but my heart is still doing somersaults. Tonight, I was looking for her gabapentin, which she’ll be taking two hours before we leave so she’s not as anxious—she’s an anxious little traveler. While digging through the medicine cabinet, I found an old bottle from 2½ years ago when we first moved to Utah. It had her specialist’s name on it—Dr. Alterman. I did a double take because I’d totally forgotten, but she was the same vet who helped our dog when he was first diagnosed with TMJ. He wasn’t chewing his bones or playing with his toys, and she took really good care of him. I only met her briefly back then, but seeing her name tonight felt like a comforting little sign. She’s already helped one of our babies—I’m hoping she’ll help Winky too. Please don’t be upset if we don’t update right away. If anything does go wrong, I’ll need a little time to myself. And truthfully, my husband and I are night shift people, so once we get Winky dropped off, we’re probably going to come home and go back to sleep for a bit. We’ll definitely update everyone before the day is over. Thank you so much for the love, the support, and for caring about our sweet little Winklet.
