Are you measuring piston speed? It would be assumed the piston would move from 0 degrees to the first couple of degrees after because of the rotation

There is a peak at TDC then it drops a little and then the peak pressure will start. At least when you’re loaded with advance timing

Of adjoining cylinders. The shorter the rod the higher the piston speed and shorter time dwelling at tech. Camshaft profile had more to do with power
