Hot topic. The XXL vs 2XL vary in the cut and is sometimes shorter in length but wider. I have a long torso so the shortness doesn’t work for me.

I can tell the difference, and a 2XL is much better fit on my then xxl. I always find myself when I can’t find a 2XL I will try to look for a xxxl because a xxl doesn’t fit my arms and looks tight from front wise vs from side and my back side.

Old Navy: no clue! I have to try them on everytime. A good amount of the time, the XXL is larger than the 2X.

Today I tried on a bunch of clothes ranging from L, XL, 2XL, XXL. The sizing goes in that order too. 2XL is smaller than XXL but bigger than the XL.

Honestly I feel like XXL and 1XL are usually closer in size (if the xxl is straight size and 1xl is plus size brand)

You can compare XXL to 1X and 2X using the number scale. XXL is more in the 16/18 range and 2x is more 20/22. Brands vary.

I am a size 20 and I fit 2x in most brands if their sizing is of standard USA but I can’t fit a standard women XXL(like at all) inless its cut bigger.

when I drafted my leggings, the 2x-6xl were drafted separately from the xs-xl because the slope used for each group of sizing were different.
