Personally i was hyped when the switch 2 was finally announced to be released this year, and then it finally did, and with prices to upgrade games you already own so you can play it on the switch 2 was a deal breaker, with all the games i had on my switch, having to upgrade a good chunk of those would have been the same price for a handful of games on the Steam Deck with steam sales. I’m not looking to hate on people enjoying the switch 2, but i am looking to hate on nintendo for being a greedy company. The Steam Decks longevity far outweighed the Switch 2’s for me so i chose the Steam Deck instead. A lot of the exclusive games for nintendo didn’t interest me, some looked like have baked games in order to drip out dlcs for money. not saying it can’t be enjoyable, but for the price of bigger games on the switch is crazy, $70-$80 depending on your area. now yes $70-$80 are on steam aswell but the chances for those to go on sale are higher then nintendos $70-$80 games going on sale. now to each their own, but, even with paying more for the Oled model, i still feel like im getting more out of my handheld than i would have with the Switch 2. Even after the newness wore off it’s still my favorite purchase i made this year, its easy to bring on trips or even to work for my lunch break, a bit chunkier than i expected but i got used to it and its a very comfortable to use. #steam #nintendo #switch #gaming
