@worldsokayestwife: 4 weeks ago I returned to work from maternity leave. 5 days later, I put in my resignation notice. Yesterday was my last day in the office. Starting Monday I will be working remotely to help ensure a smooth transition of my responsibilities. For the first time in 12 years, I won’t be going into an office. And in the near future, I will be closing the door on my career completely. I am grateful beyond words to be in a position to do this, but I am grieving the loss of something that has been such a huge piece of my identity for so long. I have no doubt that I have made the right choice and I won’t ever regret it. It’s hard not to be scared and sad to say goodbye though. I feel like the luckiest person on this planet to have been given the opportunity to be a mom to these 2 babies and now I’m going to get to soak in every single minute I have with them. I’m so grateful. 🤍
