I get it! Because I used to do the exact same thing. I had no strategy for stories & focusing on my feed strategy, at the time, seemed way more important so I tried to utilize my stories to drive traffic back to my feed Here’s the issue though… Who wants to watch someone’s story that’s only reposts of feed content (& maybe a picture of their dog)? Not me🤷🏼‍♀️ Yes, people will watch your stories once or twice but you’re going to lose people after that because they’re going to know what to expect from your stories (which is not much) So you start to see your story views drop, you panic and think that it’s because you’re posting too much on stories but in reality it’s just because your story content has no purpose or substance My suggestion? 1- spend 5 minutes looking through the top 3-5 story bubbles on your account (the ones you watch most) and take note of the content they share on stories 2- set a reminder on your phone 3-4x a day to take a picture of what you’re doing and share it on stories. Do this for 1 week 3- ask yourself with every story you post “what is the purpose of this story?” Your stories are not just important for selling your offers, they’re also important for building trust and connection with your audience & building a brand. Note: it’s normal for there to be fluctuation in story views. On average a good story view count is around 5% of your total following Note 2: there’s nothing wrong with reposting content on your stories (your own and other peoples), it’s when that type of content is ALL that you post on stories that people stop watching. People want to get to know you and your business not just see reposted content! >>> want to dive deeper into story strategy?
